REEDLE EXPERIENCE + ELITE COMBO WITH TRET
The title says it all: Reedle is great with Tret to have your skin looking bouncy, radiant, and smooth when you wake up.
The VT's Reedle Shot intrigued me with its advertised "prickly" sensation. Some influencers sensationalized the pain of the serum, which only made me want to try it more. I know, masochistic much?
The product is touted to help you achieve glass skin. The company claims you can expect a better complexion and faster skin cell turnover, which in turn leads to less acne, less noticeable acne scars, and less hyperpigmentation. It allegedly also deep cleans pores and minimizes pore appearance.
So say goodbye to all your skin issues after using this miracle in a bottle. Just don't expect it to cure cancer or clean your house because it's just skincare after all.
When I started using the 100, it delivered on most of its claims almost right away. When I woke up, my skin appeared plump and hydrated. I've always had an even complexion with some redness, no acne scars, and no hyperpigmentation, so no change there.
However, I noticed my pores appeared smaller! I attribute this visual change to the product helping other products absorb better. It doesn't change pore size, but it helps hydrate skin to help pores look less noticeable.
Unfortunately, it doesn't deep-clean pores. My nose is just as clogged when I use or don't use this product. Even Tret, BHA, exfoliating, etc., don't help.
When I noticed all the benefits of the product, I itched to bump up the strength and had the next level sitting in my cart, but I had trouble justifying paying $30 for a product.
My arrogant ass believes I could've started with 300 without any irritation if I had slowly introduced it because of my "experience" with retinols, exfoliants, and being generally tolerant to most skincare.
The 100 has a very mild prickling sensation, but it's not as painful as some people make it out to be. I was left wanting more. The needles don't feel evenly dispersed because I could feel the prickling on only certain parts of my skin. This is true even when I'm more generous with the pumps (about 2-3) and I thoroughly rub it into my face to create an even layer.
I recommend a variety pack to help determine which strength is best for you/whether the product is for you, and to have the next level to challenge you, like this compact set from Stylevana.
When I went traveling, I had Reedle, retinol, and a few hydrating products in my arsenal. I didn't pack my Tret because I didn't want to lose it while traveling. Sadly, it wasn't enough to boost the hydrating effects of my toner/lotion. Luckily, it didn't cause any irritation while using it almost every day to every other day.
Will I be repurchasing or purchasing the next highest strength? No.
I've gotten super lazy with my skincare. I only hydrate, apply sunscreen, or use my Tret when I feel like it. After I returned from vacation, I haven't used my Reedle [as often.] I do not see a space for it in my current or future routine. Sure, it's nice to have less noticeable pores, but if I'm better at layering moisturizers/find the moisturizer for me, I would get similar results when I couple that with my Tret.
