BORN TO STAND OUT DIRTY RICE
Bergamot, AlmondBasmati Rice, Peony, MilkSandalwood, Vetiver, Cedarwood, Musk, Cetalox
The inspiration:
Dirty and sticky skin scent. My back arched like a bow, and he made a heavy breather right behind my sweaty back.
Peony, creamy, sandalwood, lychee(?), rice, almond, powdery, and musky. Dirty Rice smells like a floral coconut rice pudding or a floral milk tea [ice rice.]
The longevity performs like a cocky sprinter in a marathon. Yikes! Despite its terrible longevity, it is a beautiful and delicate fragrance. Delicate is a kinder way of saying it has weak sillage. Poor longevity and sillage are common complaints with Korean fragrance brands. For example, this Reddit post about Nonfiction.
Dirty Rice is marketed as a unisex fragrance, but it leans more feminine. IMO, it's a women's perfume.
The inspiration gives the impression of dirty, musky, and erotic. In reality, it's milky/powdery, floral, and clean smelling; not erotic whatsoever.
Lastly, the graphic for this perfume is absolutely horrendous. It says BORNTOSTANDOUT, but you can't even get the contrast right... Lowering the ambiance of the picture doesn't make the words stand out. The hot pink flowers in the picture are too similar in color to the text. Love the aesthetic and the product display; it reminds me of Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette, but I don't understand the wetness/dripping fluids. Is it calling back on the erotic marketing?
