FLOP COLOGNES | ARMANI CODE, LE BEAU, OUMO BORN IN ROMA

Quick reviews of perfumes from So Post x Macy's.

Bergamot, Bergamot Leaf
iris, Clary Sage, Orris, Aldehydes
Tonka Bean, Cedar
Armani Code Parfum is such a generic cologne. It is the smell you conjure up in your mind when you hear/think "cologne." Getting a little powderiness from the iris, but, once again, bergamot and tonka bean smell OFF on me. I understand Armani is all about tailored simplicity, but the campaign and bottle are lazy.

Bergamot
Coconut
Tonka Bean
Le Beau Jean Paul Gaultier EDT smells like coconut that's been sitting on fresh asphalt under the hot sun at first. Luckily, the harshness mellows out to a warm coconut, but something unpleasant is lurking on the surface/in the background. It's like the coconut had a mommy makeover, but the kid is in their terrible two's/is an absolute pain. The bottle is iconic.

Mineral notes, Violet Leaf, Salt
Ginger, Sage
Woody Notes, Vetiver
Valentino Uomo Born in Roma is woody, salty, and mineral-y/marine-y? Out of the three, this is the one I liked the most upon the first sniff. It's clean and not too offensive.
